Important Travel, Hotel and Ground Transportation Information

Hotel Reservations

Hotel Room Rate is $175 per night, plus taxes of approximately 10%

Reservation by Phone: Call 1-800-HILTONS and tell them you are with the Academy of Business Education

Reservations Online: Go to www.hiltonoceanfrontresort.com and click on Accommodations/Book Now. Be sure to put ABE into the "Group/Convention Code" box on the reservation page to get the $175 rate.

Please make sure you book using the Academy of Business Education or ABE so we get credit for meeting our contract commitment. Making reservations outside this method could cost the association money by causing us to fail to me our contract.

Air Travel

Fly into Hilton Head, SC: Hilton Head airport is a taxi ride away from the conference hotel (about $25). The only air service into Hilton Head is small prop-jets out of Charlotte or Atlanta.

Fly into Savannah, GA: Savannah airport is about 40 miles away and about a one hour drive. Ground transportation is not good from the Savannah airport to Hilton Head Island. Please read the Savannah ground transportation information that follows.

Important: Savannah Airport Ground Transportation

Regular shuttle transportation from the Savannah airport to Hilton Head Island was recently discontinued. The only viable way to get from the Savannah Airport to Hilton Head is by rental car or limo service. The current price for limo service is $96 (tax and gratuity included) or $79 (2 people) plus tax and tip by taxi. With the current gas price situation, these prices could easily change between now and September (most likely higher).

To help keep the ground transportation cost reasonable, I will maintain a database of all attendees interested in sharing a limo from Savannah. Once you have made your airline reservation (for those flying into Savannah) and know your flight and arrival/departure day/time, notify me of your travel information and I help match arrivals and departures for limo ride sharing.
